My misses has a Vauxhall Astra 98, no tax or MOT needs far to much doing to it so we were thinking about scrapping it. How much would you get for a car at a Scrap metal yard?

I know the price will vary but it'll be weighed on there weighbridge and price determined that way, just want the most out of it tats all.

Just a thought, what about, dare i say, ebaying it as a failure and see if you get a little bit more for it rather than scrapping it?

Ebay will be full of people wanting to drive it home despite it being illegal to do so.

Scrap price isn't great at the moment though, perhaps 70 per ton? Worth a call although metal dealers will generally deduct money if the tyres are still on it.
