Has any one had this problem before. my engine seized up due to lack of oil and i believe this could be the course of the problem?

heard of it happening a few times due to the sand used to blast it beforehand.

it happen's because the inside's either get coated or when it's been blasted, they haven't been cleaned out proper and the shit fall's in the engine

cost me a cylinder head aswell. scoring on all the cam caps etc. paid a few hundred quid for a head to be wrecked. luckily the crank was unmarked. fitted it with a std head, new gasket and bearings, new oil pump, and away it went again. im just lucky i can repair this stuff on my own really. was a shame. that std head was the one that made 442bhp, also the one that died at ten of the best. it had a hard life.
now i rattle can my own. clean them out myself. id not risk it. nothing wrong with 5 quid paint from halfords

happened to mine too. I replaced the oil pump an that left swarf in my engine due to poor machining but fair play to autovaux, they replaced the pump an gave me some compo towards a rebuild
