done a HPI check on a car i am interested in purchasing, everything is OK but it says there is a possible discrepancy with the mileage?
it reads as this below:
DVLA
18/01/2007 manufacturer 15,715 miles
12/09/2008 - NMR (natial nileage register) 21,000 miles
23/09/2008 - DVLA 2000 miles
? the mileage on the car currently is 24,600, im presuming its showing a discrepancy on the 2000 miles on september? i am not sure if this is legit or dodgy?

Has somebody wrote down 2000 accidentally when they've sent the logbook away on the most recent change?
Because it's a stupid thing like 2000 that's in there it wouldn't worry me.
You'll have to explain it to any future buyers though.

these milage discrepancies can be unreliable so take it with a pinch of salt. to go from 21k to 2k is quite a big step so it could be a mistake.

if it says 24k on the car but 2k on the check i wouldnt worry about it, if it was the other way round though id be asking questions.

Yeah, i'd say its more than likely an error. Have you got any service records/MOTs that back up the current mileage?
