My mate used to have a Sportex exhaust on his Rover, and sometimes we used to sit outside my house talking when he was dropping me off, sometimes 15 mins+, and my mum said that if we do it again to turn the engine off because it's too loud

Other than that, no other stories

I'm thinking of getting an Ashley exhaust - then they'll have something to complain about Even though most of the people on my street are ok Well this part at least, go round the corner and it's like a totally different street.

I know i felt sorry for all the people on the way to my job as when i first got my XE corsa the backbox was split in half and the noise that thing made was just stupid.... usually leave around 6am and cant remember one car alarm that didnt sound when i passed

Our neighbour has a R33, with a really loud exhaust. It actually pisses me off when im trying to sleep. Though I wouldn't go up to him and comment on it though.

Most modern cars have the vin plate on the dash and the last few digits etched in the glass

No vin on the dash, and no front glass in the Jordan coz i sold it, and the bonnet catch wasnt connected thats how i know they didnt just open the bonnet.

Had this problem before. Not me personally but my friend. He is a mechanic by trade, and has a garage full of tools, so we often go around his and use his tools.

A bloke across the road thought it were appriate to phone the trading standards and sit there at the end of his drive recording everything we did. Its was obvious it were only a few mates who we have known all our lives doing a hobbie.

We didnt do it at stupid oclock and it was on the drive, not blocking anyone and most of time in the garage.

One day i snapped when he touched my corsa, picking up the windscreen wiper to check if it were taxed! Saw red mist and i think he got the message i wasnt playing

All it was, retired lonley old bloke with nothing to do. How can we have respect for olders when they treat us like this.

You all have a go when a neighbor reports suspicious behavior, but if your car got keyed or fucked-over and nobody saw who did it you'd be the first to complain.

As said before, if you got nothing to hide, what the prob with a few questions off the plod??

But when u take the plates and tax off to go to the dvla office and come back to find the police at ur door saying they have had reports of illegitimate vehicles it takes the piss a bit.

TBH they probably knew full well the cars weren't stolen, they were probably just sick of there being loads of cars around and TBH I don't blame them.
