use to have a civic dx when i was 16 but sold it before i passed my test.. now im thinking about buying annother one..

so, what are they 1.5 lsi ones like? i know they are not vtec but my plans would be to convert it to a sohc vtec in the future and and then possibly buy a turbo conversion for it as they are going for stupidly cheap on ebay..

and before you all say " why dont you just buy a esi in the first place(sohc vtec), theres a cheap lsi going which i am interested in buying

I just got rid of my 1.5lsi, was a quick car going up to 3rd but top end was terrible. Good enough to get me to and from work, but not a toy to play or tinker with id say.

Use your money more wisely, better things to do up id imagine. Here was mine;

surely you're going to see better results from a B series engine than the older SOHC D series ones, and seeing as you can get the shape you want with a B series in to start with that'd probably be a wiser choice, i think i remember hearing it would be difficult to fit the B series at a later date too because the mounts differ, so there wouldn't be much room for improvement

My bro used to have an Esi with the D16Z6 motor and it was a quick wee fuker.It was RR'd at 140+bhp and up to certain speeds,it gave my old V6 Astra a good go,and that was no slouch.
