as title says need a new key cutting for my car, but not sure if vaux dealership has to do it or can anywhere? cos have seen you can get the blank keys on ebay but do they need programming to my car or anything

ive got a t'reg with central locking.

You'll need the key code and security no to get it programmed once you get the key

Not necessarily. Is it a Corsa?

Ford keys require programming by machine. iirc, most Corsa keys are split open, with a 'loose' chip. This means you just transfer from key to key, without the need of programming.

Somewhere like Timpsons would actually be able to advise.

Someone on here will probably know too.

If its anything like fiat/alfa keys (which i doubt)

Theyre coded and cut to chassis number

If its lost the chip it'll still need programming if he puts a new chip in it.

yeah its for my corsa, and i need a complete new key not a replacement as i havnt got a spare.
will pop into the local vaux dealers and ask how much theyd charge i think
