Cat B so I'm guessing that although it's been repaired it can't legally be returned to the road, hence the track day reference.

If it was stolen and recovered it'd be allowed back on the road.

Seeing as it's a salvage company that's selling it, I'd doubt it,

I missed that Cat B. Sneaky reference to it there. I thought it was relating to the alarm

Sounds like it's been smashed and put back on the road without the dvla knowing,

The police would just remove the vehicle from you and the dvla will write it back off, and it wont be allowed back on the road, ever,

Correct iirc,

Which is why it looks repaired in the pic,

It's been cat b'd and someone has repaired it and put it on the road or sold it dodgy without the VIC test,

Someone somewhere along the line, maybe MOT time has noticed this, and the car has been removed and sent to salvage again...

Yep bit sneaky putting the cat b ref within the spec description and to be honest I thought this was ref the alarm system myself at first but as has been pointed out the address off the seller and the price alone mean this is not one for the collector.

correct me if I am wrong ?? but would think nearer 12k would be more the price iff genuine with this genuine low mileage ??
