Thought this was the case, might be able to get a bit hotter hatch then! She can get bent once she has passed, just want her to get her test past! (she failed it miserably years ago and hasn't driven since).

Corsa C 1.4 would be ideal, or something with that engine size.

Anything which will be ok on insurance for a learner/newly passed isn't going to be that exciting imho.

I would.
I paid 6k for mine a couple or years back, its hardly cost me anything since. gearboxes can fail though on t-sports. i really like it.

Also you get a foldy flat rear seat than slides to give you more boot space that I like

Not interested in newly passed just learner, and just to add on to my policy for a while, i've 5 years no claims etc. Not after extreme excitment either, just nothing slower than my current 100bhp, disease-l 306 or i'll be spending money and wishing I hadn't. Same for if it looking dog shit, such as a poverty spec corsa C with wheel trims, don't want to be spending money modifying it to make it look half decent.

Not sure you'd get it within the price range, but a 1.7CDTi Corsa sounds ideal.

They did 1.7DTi's in SXi guise. Most have +70k miles on them though.

But actually, alternatives of a similar age are a bit dyer, if not the same. The cars are bit the same imho.

It's dieing a death and is ready for scrapyard, not very learner friendly either, heavy clutch etc AND it's modified and i'm bored of it.

Oh oh oh! Also! Pete, you have a T-sport?! Come be my friend

Nic, I'm sure the T-sport is insurance group 9 but I could be wrong. £79 odds for tax and I get about 180-200 miles for £20 I THINK. Average out at 40-45 mpg, so good enough for fuel. Get one, my Dorris is cute as a button.

My mrs has a 1.3 Yaris vvti thing.

It's really nice to drive. Seating position is high up, coming out of my lowered corsa you feel like you're driving a van. But steering is light, good turning circle. Surprisingly nippy. Decent on fuel. Nice amount of gadgets too.

Seat Ibiza 1.6 Sport, like mine! 100bhp, 0-60 in about 10secs, hits about 125 mph, got full electrics, climate control, etc
