Just been on the DVLA site and it just says must be displayed on the front and rear of a vehicle, is it just the bumper that's classed as the front?

Or the bonnet I guess as some cars come standard with them stickers on the bonnet, granted they're supercars but they don't have their own rules.

As DaveB says, however if you get pulled by someone whos on their period or theyve got a target to meet can almost guarantee a fine

in the IveGotNothingBetterToDo law book that the police carry about with them. Copper showed it me just before he gave me a £30 fine for having mine in the window.

"(3) This paragraph requires the plate to be fixed—
(a) vertically or, where that is not reasonably practicable, in a position as close to the
vertical as is reasonably practicable,
(b) in such a position that in normal daylight the characters of the registration mark are
easily distinguishable from every part of a relevant area having the diagonal length
specified in paragraph (4)."
there is nothing saying that it is illegal, it just depends on the person who pulls you over really

So its risky
Shouldn't be too bad in winter, coppers aren't too keen on getting wet.

more so than having it on the inside ? i doubt it.
plus you could be £29.50 better off for it.
