written off comes as no surprise although the cost is!!

£8k to repair
over £4k alone in parts, then the additions of labour tax paint etc takes it up to £8k!

Surprised they even bothered giving you a repair quote! Better off replacing it I'd have thought.

Glad you got out of it ok. The most painful part was probably unclipping the seatbelt and landing on your head!

Ive not had any misshap's, been extra carefull though & most of my journey is straight motorway.

And to think people are complaining in another post about too much salt on the roads

Really gutted for your car. Good thing noone was hurt though.

Two months ago I was told that winter tyres were of no use in the UK, as it dosn't get cold enough.
Just to remind, when the asphalt chills to below 8 degrees celcious, your summer tyres will start hardening and loosing grip. No matter how expensive they are! Winter tyres saves lifes. FACT!

As said glad your ok.

I cant even imagine what it would be like rolling my pride and joy and then having to climb out the rear while the car is still on its roof.Must be gutting to think about what has just happened.
