I've had mine since september 2007, and tbh i can't fault it. 1.6 with approx 127bhp, climate control keyless entry etc. Eagle F1's as standard but can be pricey to replace. Also the car has no spare wheel just some emergency tyre kit thingy
In terms of the drive, the handling is great, kind of similar to my 106 GTI, although i'm not saying it's as good Just reminds of it, can be prone to lift off over steer. In terms of the engine, the car is very quick through the gears, as it's quite short ratio, which is great as it's a revvy engine, and is responsive when driven "spiritedly" The gear box is great, probably one of the best i've had, however my only criticism would be the fact that due to short gear changes, it feels like a 6th gear would be great for motorway driving. Other than that i love the thing and have no plans to get rid any time soon. I would say if you're looking for one, try to get an early 08 plate as you'd get a split boot (factory fitted shelf in the boot) and also rev limit was upped to 7,200 as opposed to the original 6,800

Essay warning sorry
