Also anyone reccomend any companys that can do that service close to me?

i would say powdercoating as its more hard wearing just make sure they dont spray the inside. as of pics an places close to you i cant help you there sorry

my last xe corsa had the rocker cover and cambelt cover painted and never had a problem with it but this time im getting the lot powdercoated

I painted mine myself came out fine


just make sure you only do the top


Drives supercharged Tec with torque

mines was all done in smoke grey with lots of laquer looked great and never had any problems with it

I had my XE cam and belt covers painted in Focus ST Orange and it turned out perfect.

gaskets and bearings fixed it. it didnt exactly do a massive amount of damage to anything other than the cylinder head luckily.

suppose i should never have fitted it at 2am in a darkly lit garage, but i guess i wasnt to know it was going to have sand under the plate inside it etc.

oddly, i now paint my own. with halfords cans.
