My sister went to uni leaving her car with us for sale, insurance ran out before it was sold, so my dad took out a years policy with admiral, car sold about a week after the policy was started, so he rung up and cancelled it - got most the money back from the premium - something like 90% and they were fine about him cancelling.
Don't know if thats the sort of thing you're after? If not, speak to a local broker and see if they can sort you some form of temp policy?

Well ive only ever taken out year long policies.
Im after changing car around a month or 2 into the policy, going to try sell mine privatly 1st, maybe go without a car for a while until I find something to replace with, Im not sure yet. I dont want tied to a company ive paid up front & will loose out a high % when I cancel.
Does that even make sense Does to me
Can I phone up & ask for 2 months insurance??
