tbh I wouldnt do anything to it, one of my mates 1st cars was an escort & he spent a fortune on wheels, suspension, exhaust. I had only just talked him out of wanting to turn it into a cossie rep when he decked it into a wall

Drive it & save for the next one

if you can lower it for £20 then theres defo no point in doing anything to it, the car will also fetch more when you come to sell it if its standard

Didnt mean any offense, sorry that sounded bit aggressive. I just think for the money you will spend on mods you could put aside and when you come to sell the car could have a nice amount to spend on something better?

No tints.

Smoked lights and back wheels will look good. Do not attach any form of spoiler. Lower it cheaply but safely.

I will be putting a spoiler on, but only a standard 1 as, my old escort looked alright and it finishes it off nicely.

I aint the 1 to go over board thats why i only did lowering and tints and obv the debadged at the front.. i have been thinking about the gti alloy wheels too for the escort as i can get them with rubber for a decent price.

If hes into Escorts then theres no reason why he shouldnt spend money on it, same way as people on here spend thousands on a corsa that only cost about £1000

Exactly, and you've got the usual here with people just agreeing with the 1st comment made on it.

Nothing wrong with doing up a runabout. I wouldn't spend any money on getting those wheels refurbed, I'd be going with another set. Lower it, tints if you want and audio, as said, and you've got a decent motor to get about in.

The mk5b Rs2000 kit is alright,

Same as the gti

Collect the for bits, make it look like a gti, lower it on nice wheels and it'll look good

Good thing is they rot like buggary so there's plenty of gti's si's and the like in scrap yards

Well that was i was planning on.. make it a gti rep because as you said shep, they will be some in scrap yards. The car is a minter, its only got 70k on the clock with all docs proving it, but as most escorts its got rear arch rust, but its only starting to come through, so am gonna catch it in Jan and get it removed and a new arch welded on.
