Problems?

it looks like you are saying the drive shaft snapped because you didn't replace a cv boot

Had my GTi 6 months, bought a nice standard example and i've done 6000 miles in it, its on 106,000 now and i've had no problems with it other than the fact it leaks oil (used to that after owning a red top though ! )

I'd say go for it

work on pug's all day long.. Bad designs and very week gearboxes and electrical, engines leake more oil than the middle east can drill out the ground.. And if you crash one which a lot of people will do as they get cocky with a fairly good handeling car then your going to be getting cut out of it.. I personaly hate them, there to small, wonky pedaled, and bend to easy.. Imo stay with the corsa.

Yeah, al the grease leaked out etc, then the bearings dried up and it snapped.

only problem i found with a 106/vts is that the pedals are too close together, other than that i cant fault them, there a all round good car

Take it. You'll be getting a steal swapping your car for that.
