when i was an apprentice someone told me to hold the bottom of the torch with my left hand to steady it, rather than just holding it with the trigger and handle. this is 200% easier imo and really helped me

when welding cars, do only butt joints unless an overlap is totally necessary as an overlap cant be properly waxoiled from behind.

when doing joints line up the 2 panels, tack every cm the whole way accross the joint and then grind the tacks. then weld it all in one pass

if welding over head turn up the gas a little but rem generally more gas equals easier to burn a hole

and when any of my mates want a go with my mig, they seem to be scared to it. keep it lit and burn it in well or your bird shitting...
