Standard impreza rims - ET53

Here is a table off offsets that fit the classic impreza
6.5" ....... +53 to +55
7.0" ....... +50 to +53
7.5" ....... +47 to +50
8.0" ....... +43 to +47

My rims are 18' ET42 and 7.5J which means im 5mm out from perfect

Offset is how far the rim sticks out isnt it, so 42 is lower (further out) then 47 so i couldnt get 5mm spacers to correct my issue - am i correct?
