right im due to pick a new engine up for my car this week (another redtop...rings have gone in mine) and (im so pissed off because) ive just reversed into my neighbours car (shit happens...a lot lol) basically my rear quarter has a scrape in it...repairable but not worth it really...i have lots of money in bits...not in the 900 quid car i put them on...so....
ive been offered a v reg corsa sport in arden blue with a blown engine and a dented bonnet for 200 quid (it needs a polish but comes with an irmy splitter on it )
so as i was going to swap engines anyway...im thinking i may as well buy the newer cleaner car and swap my spax/morrettes/cage etc on to the new car...what you think?
it makes sense to me but its hard to let go of a car ive put so much time into

i think you have answered your own question here, Buy the new one and move on.
Unless you want to spend money fixing something for sentimental reasons.

just think if you put the same amount of time and effort with the new one and how much better you could make it, 200 quid sounds a bargain too, you'll pay that for the irmy splitter near enough

get the newer shell, and recoup some money for selling the spare bits from the grey one.
