hey all looking for some help again
whent out to the car yesterday tried to turn it over and nothing but 1 click from the starter, we have tried jump starting it but the battery is fine, we tried bump starting it but got nothing, it has alot of fuel, oil and water, nothing seems to be frozen solid and it showed no signs of anything breaking the night before, it is getting towed to the garage later just wonderd if any1 might know what is is??
any more infor needed just ask
oh its a 1.4 16v sport engine and its never missed a beat untill now
any help would b great

Sticky starter motor?
Have you tried rocking it back and forwards in gear then trying to turn it over?

Is the engine turning over and just not starting or is it not turning over at all?

i had this problem on my old mini! problem turned out to be the battery terminal wasnt tightened properly. check them over and tighten! i had to bridge the gap on my old mini using a few nails in the gap.. it worked anyway!

ok thnx for the input guys, just bk from the garage and found the problem
3 bent valves and one completely fucked one, we tried manualy turning the car but it was sticking and after stripin th top half it seems this is the problem
so it needs a new engine, me being a redundant bum and being the month of december it looks doubtfull, i have however been offerd a 1.6 with low mallage on the cheep so now looking for money making scemes haha

thats the thing, the belts fine, timin was 2 notches out of line so were bogled lol

yeah cheers man, was fucking great doing it aswell lol think all in it took about 16hours but we had to space it over 3days
