Been looking at corsa's as a next runabout

3 years ago i payed £2100 for my mint 1.6 sport with 31k on the clock...and now theres like n reg 1.4's with 100k with price tags of £1500, wtf!

surly they cant still be worth so much? ok a lot have been molested with redtops, but even when you find a tidy little 1.4 sport its still silly money

because people dream about the figure they will get tbh, they want what they put into it. i sold my 1.6 sport with 84k on in june for £1150, i could have maybe got alittle more for it but i just wanted it gone tbh

Also dont forget they are 'first time buyer' cars, people mainly young uns buy on what their heart says, not their head, and will pay over the odds (or their parents will)

if there is demand the price wont drop as quick as said. Not really a "credit crunch" car. As its a cheap cheerful one/first car

for a 1.6 sport i would say no more than £1750 MAX! people really are dreaming...i had my 1.4 sport wrote off got a £1190 pay out...was looking for a 1.6 sport for a good month before scraping the idea of havin another corsa to get a saxo vts in very good nik for £1800!...this was priced up at £2200 mind...whatever the dreamers want knock it down and down and down! unless it has fsh, 12 months t+t and looks brand new i wouldnt go over £1500 for a 1.6 corsa...i wouldnt say they are that cheap to run either tbh cc should have lowered the price

Pre 2001 small hatchbacks are holding their money quite well at the moment..

There are bargains to be had though, I paid just over £100 for my rot-free 1.2 Merit with MOT + TAX.
