hi there,
just a bit of advice really because iam pissed off giving my money to a debt company!

basically had a BUST UP WITH 02!
i owed the "£109 but wanted to cancel the contact of £25 per month (400 txts/ 400 mins) because of crap service!!

They then hit me with a £359 bill!
10 x £25per month to cancel
£109 in calls!

but i wasnt allowed the mintutes or txts which the £25 supposly covered??

The debt was passed to moorcraft and they treatened me with court and a £459 debt if i didnt pay!

i now pay £10 a month just to keep them happy and have done for about 6 months!

if i cancelled would they actually take me to court for the £300 ish i owe them or is it just treats!

its already ruined my credit rating
AND IT skints paying for something that i am not recieving

any help please!

Yeah they'll more than likely take you to court, they are hardly going to write off £300 when they can pass all costs of claiming it to you.

You should of just paid the £109 and then used the free mins and nothing else until the end of the contract and cancelled.

Could you have not come to some agreement with 02 originally?

A ruined credit rating is a complete bitch tbh.

More like common sense, as you obviously cant cancel something AND still use it

tbh I would have paid the £359 to protect my credit rating!

Wheni it comes to getting loans and mortages your going to get stung for much more than that now in apr.

I'm sure with a big of negotiation you would have been able to reduce the £359.

If you don't pay it off they will sell the debt to another company who will write to tell you they've added another £100 on top, great business to be in really

Just pay it off if you can and get a notice of correction on your credit file.

My point was if you still wanted to use the minutes and texts that the £25 (x10) that you we going to pay for to cancel the contract then you should just of NOT cancelled it and let the 12 months run. THEN cancel it with no extra payments to make.

By doing what you did you have to pay all the monthly costs yet get nothing to show for it.

o yeah, see where you coming from now!

the fact i didnt do that and just let the contact ride for 12 months, was the phone that came with the contact kept breaking and 02 just wasnt intrested to be honest, so i cudnt keep paying £25 for a sim card with no phone to use!

so anyways after lots of phonecalls with 02 i was still nowhere, and in that period i had payed 2 months £50 even tho i wasnt using a simcad or Phone!

just pissed off paying £300quid for something that i recieved nothing off!
i wudnt mind if i would of got a decent phone out of it
or atleast
10 x £25 mins/txts
4000 txts / 4000 mins??

nevermind tho

ill worry after crimbo

O2 are fucking dodgey fuckers though.

When I was last with them I cancelled it in writing and over the phone (before and after the letter to confirm) - yet they continued taking payment out for 6 more months AND decided to add a few extra bolt ons to it that I hadnt even had when I was using the contract.

Took so many phone calls to so many non-English speaking workers to get my money back.
