get it quite often, companies without IT support will always have somebody that knows alittle about what they're doing, and when the powers that be decide they want us to look after their systems, the people that took charge before are normally abit put out and feel like they're losing responsibility. normally if they get arsey we just say its the MD or whoever thats brought us in to do a job, take it up with them not us kind of thing, only exception this time is that she owns half the company and wasn't wild about having us about in the first place etc. she wants to do things herself, just doesn't have the knowledge she'd like to have

Was like that when I started at this school, was a woman in office was part of the fixtures and fittings had been here like 30yrs!
They had the SIMs server hidden in the office, I couldn't get near it for 2 years, never backed up etc.
But were far to protective to let anyone touch it
Glad that old bats gone now, I went in one night an unplugged the PSU so she thought it was broke next morning and hey presto she needed help!

"No"
"Could do with one in Room 2"
"Haven't got any I'm afraid"
"Can you not take one out another class room, I can't plug my laptop in someone else has the network cable"
Hmmmmmmmmmm how about you move your fucking arse to where there is a AP in range or go find another network point!
I can't just shit a fucking AP when you need one

Can it do electronic registers? They were implementing them the year we left. Complete pain in the arse as the teacher laptops were sooo slow.
