some people have none. fuckers. if i have the decency to answer my phone in a polite and helpful manner, i appreciate if people could string a sentence together in return. i'm not talking about an epic bit of dialog.
just the following is fine - "hello, could i speak to (insert name) please?"
instead of just saying the persons first name with no please or thanks.

Luckily I'm hardly ever on the phone but a lack of manners always winds me up. Like when I hold a door open for someone and don't get a quick thanks or this morning when I let a woman pull out of a side road in front of me and all I got was a look of disgust
