There's a 4 speed, a 6 speed and a 5 speed easytronic.

According to Parkers, the 1.6's come with 5 speed Easytronic, and the 1.8's 4 speed fully auto, the 1.9's have 6 speed auto.

Avoid the easytronic boxes in the astra they are a nightmare.

My brother has the 1.8 auto and it is smooth and a decent drive. The 1.9 6 speed auto will be better though.

I have a octavia auto hire car this week for work. Has the 110 Ps 1.9dti engine and has the 6 speed dsg box on it, is nice to chuck it into manual so that you can hold it in a gear if needs be imo.
