very nice machines the NC30's, had a go of an ALL WHITE one (very very limited numbers) a few years back - felt like a strong bike even by todays standards (at the time I had a GSXR750)
must say though - i still prefer the looks of the RC45.

EXUPs, old man had one of those, it was stolen from right under my bedroom window, carried down a 20m path, then put in a van. I got told off for not waking up. I was about 6 WTF??

THE best old skool sportsbike ever imo. Looks that nearly cut it nearly today

Nahh, 900SS is a sports cruiser.

This was the 916/996 older brother. This bike is what put Ducati on the map. Well the 888 and its little brother the 851 (just like the 916 went to 996).

This bike won Ducati the WSB champtionship many times. I'd still love one, but the road bike would be a let down, only 90bhp, and an engine that didn't like to be pushed hard.

Great race bike, average road bike.

Still, prices are evening off, pick a nice one up for £4k now.

Beautiful! After the 916 this is my favourite Ducati ever!

My favourite Jap bike of the same period has to be the Kawasaki ZXR-R 750 in Team France Endurance colours! Closely followed by a Yamaha YZF750R in my all time Superbike hero James Whitham Fast Orange or Cadbury's Boost colours!

Bah, backtrack a few years.

Terry Rymer and the Loctite Yamaha team

Steve Parish owned it, then he raced Trucks for Mercades and BP, now he commentates on BBC for MotoGP.

Had a Merc SL500 with the reg PEN15.

Reg got banned (ex family friends).

I'd love a VFR/RVF, but I would die, even if it was a 400.

Lovely bikes! I much preferred the 'chuckability' of my VFR compared to my 636. If I had the 636 power in the VFR that'd be spot on

My old one:

My mate had an NC24 and an NC30, they just make such an awesome noise, almost as good as his KR250 Tandem Twin did

Seen as we're all showing off our NC-30's, here mine that i once raced/trackdayed.

Mine had the newer NC-35 fairing and with a Honda RS250 seat unit. Had a lighter custom made subframe. It also had a 17" rear wheel conversion so i could get stickier tyres on. Also ran it on total loss ignition, full exhaust system, gas flowed head and quick action throttle. Front suspension had K-Tech internals while the rear shock was a Penske item. It wasn't the fastest 400 out there, but it was so easy to ride! Much more mid range grunt than the straight 4's that it was kind of a lazy bike to ride. Handled really well to the point where i didn't need a steering damper.

I like that Jimmy. Is that a Duke wheel? I'm out of touch with my NC30 stuff but I know a few people did the conversion due to the standard 18's not having much choice in rubber. I just always went for 090's so I didn't mind. Sticky as fook but barely lasted!

I only suffered with 1 tank slapper in my time of owning it, and I was riding like an idiot over bumpy ground, came out of it ok at least.
