well they SHOULD have there car insured with a polish insurer and pay any LOCAL tax's to use the car. However when in a foreign country there is no real way of checking this, i.e. Police ANPR cameras can only recognize UK plates. You can only legally drive a foreign car in UK for 6 months or a year, after that the car must be regiesterd in uk with DVLA and insured with a UK insurer etc, but there is no record of when the cars enter the UK so most dont bother.

Wasnt that close to the car to see if it had winter tires, but i doubt it does lol

No Tax is usually the same as the above, but they make you pay the "Back Duty" for the amount of time you've been driving without it.

No MOT is usually £110 fine, £40 Costs & 3 Points. Again you can get a fixed penatly which is £200, with 3 points.

Thats going on what I see on a regular basis at work anyways.

how is this then, no insurance car is taken away then after 7 days it is crushed and you get 9 points and if no mot is 3 points that mean 12 points and banned for as long as the courts say normally min 1 year

£200 fine - no insurance
Dont know if anyone can help me really

I was stopped today for taking a right turn in a no right turn road. The policeman checked my car over radio because I didnt have my licence on me. Turned out I wasnt insured as i've recently split up with the misses and got behind on the payments. So hes written me a ticket for £200 and im supposed to submit my licence within 7 days (it may take a bit longer as I lost it so need to get a replacement, but they said I can have an extension). Its my first ever offence, which I didnt intend to do, but as i've only had my licence since feb 06 I am in danger of losing it. I have been told by the policeman I will get 6 penalty points if I submit my licence which means I have to start over with a provisional

I have phoned the DVLA and they said theres no way around it but I was hoping someone on here may have an idea of anything I can do to avoid this, im totally gutted right now, was just getting back on track with things but if I lose my licence im in trouble :/

What I considered doing was not submitting my licence therefore getting no points but im sure thats a silly thing to do...

the law has changed!

6 points in the first two (?) years since passing your test means an automatic ban and have to resit a longer/comrehensive driving test.

The lack of insurance cover would have been highlighted by the fact that the Police access the Motor Insurers database which would have shown the absence of insurance cover against the vehicle registration number. £5000 fine and automatic impounding (Read crushing) of the vehicle if the Police want to make an issue of it.

Because I havent yet had my licence for 2 years (only since feb 06) and I will have 6 points, from what i've read this means I will go back to provisional and have to start over. What you have been issued with is an enhanced Fixed Penalty 6 points and a £200 fine. 28 days to pay the fine, 7 days to produce and or surrender your licence and other documents at a Police station. The Fixed Penalty Ticket is endorsed at the station if you surrender your licence and acts as your D/L until you receive your licence back from DVLA. In accepting these points in this way you automatically revert back to a provisional licence holder and would need to conform to the rules that apply and you would need to book and sit a new test, otherwise from that moment forth if caught you will be driving not in accordance with your licence, which the penalty for which is a min of 3 penalty points and a £60 fine.
You are correct in saying that 6 points of more on any licence obtained since April 1992 means that you revert back to a provisional licence holder if you are awarded 6 or more penalty points within the first two years from the date that you passed your test and you have to reapply to sit your driving test again and this is an extended test as apposed to a normal test.

What I was really asking I guess is, is there any way out of this? I already know I can get an extension for the time the licence takes to arrive, Apply for your licence again and get hold of this and then produce all the documents stated on the Fixed Penalty even if this is outside of the 7 days. Or produce what you have already and explain when they complete a form called a HORT/2 at the station, they can record your reasons on here and reissue a HORT/1 which will give you a further 7 days to produce your licence.

but I was thinking if I drag it out as long as possible then I may make it to over the 2 year mark.
Nope this will not work, the matter goes from the date that you were stopped on and the court would see this. If you fail to do anything the Fixed penalty defaults to a summons and goes to court and then they will probably disqualify as the court has the discression to do this to you for this and the points awarded run from the date of conviction at court in this case. If you accept the points they run from the date that the Fixed Penalty was issued. I'm desperately trying to think of a way that stops me going back to learner status is all
One possible outer is, are you a named driver on another persons insurance policy eg parents policy?

If so and this has to be fully comprehesive then there is often a section that covers you to drive anyother vehicle not named on that policy as 3rd party only, which is the minumim requirement in the UK by law regrading car insurance.

Producing this insurance document and completing the requesting a court appearence section of the Fixed Penalty where you will produce this insurance document if you have it will cancel the ticket fine and points. As you have insurance but this would have to be done at court.

I like it how everyone hates this guy.

But when someone posted up a while back about the government banning the resale of show plates, certain members kicked off

Fucking make your minds up

It's not a polish guy, it's someone who's made fake Polish number plates so that they can evade tax, mot and insurance.

Fraud ftl.
