Yes I know its a corsa forum but what gearboxs will fit a 1.4 quicksilver?

You'd get a better response in help zone mate. But a gearbox from a 1.4 saxo forte or west coast and 1.4 206 would all fit fine. Ebay have them often for £120 from a breaker

Is my mate wrong in thinking a 1.1 box will fit?

I was told all 106 boxes are the same just different ratio's, can't confirm this though.

all gearboxes fit each other, can use saxo gearboxes aswell.

1.0 4speed
1.1
1.3 rallye
1.4
1.6 vtr/rallye
1.6 vts/gti

any of them will do the job

Thanks just what I was after, he just wants a cheap box and 1.1 boxes are £50 from the scrappy.

all inner cv's are the same.

but there are two types of drive shaft.
but that depends on what hubs you are running. late or early
