I dont see your logic.. If the car is 845kg STANDARD and I've got an 8kg heavier engine thats a say 855kg starting point.. I can easilly dump 50kg of interior.. Then theres glass etc.

If my weight isnt in that sort of region then my power must be well up on standard but I find that hard to believe as I've not really done anything to the engine yet

890kg...

You've got PAS pump, pipes, fluid, sound-deadening, extra instruments, heavier seats, glove box, bulkier trim, a head-unit so I assume you've also got speakers, speaker baskets and the wires, you've got both boot rams attahed so I'm also guessing you've got a rear wiper? Oh and central locking etc. etc.

All the little things add up.

It wasen't a dig Dave. Just an example I surpose

But, I would hazard a guess at around 800 - 810kg

How? Even at the standard weight, the power/weight ratio isn't all that different to the CTR

I'm not.

My Corsa GSi with inlet, stripped out wasn't far behind our Corsa VXR up to 80mph from 20mph and the Corsa VXR is as equal as equal can be against a CTR.

Corsa GSi with inlet about 118bhp? Daves Corsa has more BHP.

Yeah I can see it happening. 18XE is a very punchy engine, even in the heavy Astra it's nippy.

Aye but doors and windows and bootlid weigh a fair bit.

I'd just say get it on a weightbridge as no buggers going to listen about the weight until it has been weighed.

But if your's is as stripped as JR's, then I do think you'll be looking at low 800's, but it won't be in the 700's without some serious serious weight removal, inner doors, fibre glass body components, silly light wheels etc...

JR did no cutting, I did but still couldn't get it close to his weight
