Still gives me goosebumps. One of my favourite songs, reminds me of growing up with F1!

The original is great, I'd be happy if they used it. But I'm scared they'll want to use some new "modern" remix/cover version of it. The BBC are shit like that.

James. That's f*cking awful.
They could try using the proper version of The Chain, along with cars; the likes of some of those shown in that clip for the actual racing.

This is the F1 tune. I even remember playing a F1 game on my Omega that had this as the theme tune.

Am I the only one who doesnt want to hear the chain as the intro? As it reminds me of the pretty mediocre coverage it received back in the day.
Hopefully the BBC coverage will be a lot better than their previous efforts before ITV took over. I know ITV had ad breaks and was a bit over the top with whatever brit was doing well, but at least they had some great features and analysis over the years.
The BBC's coverage was limited to say the least, was a part of grandstand so was never covered for what it was.

As far as i'm concerned, the BBC's coverage was and is the only proper GP programme and Sunday night's highlights show was the only good thing about a Sunday night.
After F1 went to ITV I pretty much went through the motions until Hill and Walker retired and then I stopped watching F1 for good.
There's no point in F1 going back to the BBC. It's too little, too late. It's finished, it's fucked, it's awful.
