Another prospective purchaser is technically good news but I'm not entirely happy that the anti-competitive effects are being overlooked. But then I don't bank with anyone involved so it's not so bad.

I just can't help think it's a shame that we now reduce choice in the marketplace because of the mess that the financial system allowed to happen.
