What would you buy if you were 18 1NCB with 4k? Need something pretty clean and tidy but wont lose too much money or break down. Plan is to get 2 years NCB then get something fast.

You had a quote on a GT tdi bud? I ask because my girlfriend 19 1yrs ncb cant be added to my policy as a named driver. I have a GT tdi PD130.

306 TD for 1-1.5k and put the rest of the money away to add to the fund for when you want something fast. mine has never let me down and costs peanuts to run, also probably a car thats very easy to sell on as a cheap to run and reliable diesel is what alot of people want at the moment.

if you have to get a petrol car with abit more go then you could do worse than a 2.0 focus zetec, overall good car thats nippy and handles well
