Anyone here work perminant nights? Just started on Monday night and so far loving it. Some of the blokes in work have been on nights for over 28 years!!
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I work at Bae Systems on Typhoon final assembly.
As I said, it is flexi time so i can start between 20:30 > 22:15 and finish between 06:15 > 07:30
That is monday to thursday.

i do the night shift every 3 weeks for 5 nights.
it's not too bad really. the first night after the weekend is a bit shit and it's difficult to get sleeping patterns back to normal over the weekend but it's pretty good as you get the daytime to do what you want.
you do feel quite tired all the time though in my experience over the last 16 months.

It gets annoying quite quickly unless the people you associate with also do nightshift.
