with those active driving lights that light up individually when you turn the wheel, whats the point? just looks like you have your fog lights on and one is broken, what about the old bill as well wont they just think you have your fogs on seeing as they know nothing about cars and the last one that pulled me asked if my car was a one of them Focus things

God knows, merc-benz seem to enjoy their line of usless drive aids, like my mate was telling me about the electric seats in his old mans merc that adjust the side supports as you corner, just incase you maybe almost slide off the seat I imagine!

Merc's deffo a car for old codgers to get to golf/nursing home safely IMO

Yeah, I think they look ridiculous.

Also, they do a funny thing when you lock/unlock them with the fogs - has sidelights on etc at the same time.

intelligent light system iirc. Same sort of concept as alot of other manufacturers in the market today, just executed a bit differently.

On M5's isn't it when you press the 'M' button for +500bhp? Which is fair enough.

God knows. I know the DRLs on Audis dim when the blinker is on so you can see the amber more clearly, but don't see why Merc would be flicking the fogs on and off.

I think it's like BMW Active Lighting or what ever it's called so you can see where you're going when you go round corners

We have cornering lights built into the headlights for that, and BMW actually swivels to look round the corners.

Mind you, it's different driving over here. Unlike the UK, there's no catseyes, too me ages to figure out why I was having trouble negotiating roads at night then realised I was missing reference points. Maybe you need the Merc thing to light up the verges more clearly.

I was assuming the Merc would be the same.

Imagine pootling around a car park getting jabbed in the side by the seat bolster - can imagine you need to press some sort of 'sport' button anyway.

I thought Merc just had a wiring issue as ive seen a couple about that keep flickering. dont quite understand the reason still but i assume there must be one

I wouldnt mind a seat that inflates either side as you corner holding you in place, cant quite see a negative until that one time it fails

Mate bought an A-class home the other day that parks itself.

I missed it, but sounded a bit mental
