Thinking about doing it at xmas. How much roughly would it cost me to rebuild engine (belts, waterpump, gaskets etc) + buy all the gearbox, loom, conversion kit and whatever else needed.
Also has anyone got that link to the thread explaining how and what you need to do the conversion? I couldnt find it.
Cheers

I think people always under estimate how much it is going to cost them. First you gota buy the engine, then replace said parts. Buy the mounts, shafts/CV's, bigger brakes, decent suspension, exhaust. And those are just the main bits, the conversions never usually go as smooth as you think unless you hvae done a few. There is always hidden costs.
It is an easy job if you know what your doing though.

That's more like it. Try not to get carried away either. I did my LET project a while back, I got carried away and spent thousands before I even got the engine.

i charge £200 to 300 for the labour, thats including making the linkage fit, & lower the anti roll bar, and join the exhausts up! so if you price an engine with new belt, water pump etc and mounts 22spline cvs & shafts, i could do it with a total being around £700 to £800.
