If yes describe the atmosphere?

Tense, perhaps

2) Do you support a football team, and which team?

Yes, Aberdeen FC

3) How would you describe Football culture?

Enthusiastic, Passionate, dare I say Violent

4) Do you watch or have you ever seen any films or television series related to football??

Yes,

Rise of the Footsoldier
Green Street
Mean Machine
Football Factory
Etc...

4a) In these films/TV series do you think they link to what football culture is like today? Explain your reason

Over exaggerate it perhaps for todays happenings, but then again I live miles away from the teams portrayed in these films, I think they are maybe a better representation of things from past

and finally did you enjoy watching them???

I guess so, yeah

1) Have you ever been to a live football match or watched it on T.V
Answer: YES or NO

Yes.

If yes describe the atmosphere??
Atmosphere can vary from ground to ground. All depends on the match, the opposition, how well your team are playing etc etc.

Best atmosphere IMO is when your playing a local derby, much more at stake, pride & passion shine through. Also its normally a lot more tension between the fans, which makes the atmosphere better.

2) Do you support a football team, and which team?
Yes. Huddersfield Town

3) How would you describe Football culture? (Example: what words would you use?)
Football culture differs from person to person, and what they do at each match. Football culture to me is the working man going to football with his mates, having a few beers, bit of sing song, bit of banter with the opposition fans, and generally a good day out

4) Do you watch or have you ever seen any films or television series related to football??
Yes

If yes, what were they??
With regards to the violence: Green Street, Football Factory, Rise of the Footsoldier, ID.

With regards to Football being in the film - Goal I & Goal II. Fever Pitch.

4a) In these films/TV series do you think they link to what football culture is like today? Explain your reason
With regards to Green Street, Football Factory, etc. From watching the films I cant see that they did much research into what the football "Casual" scene is all about. They just focussed on the fighting (which is guess is what what people want to see) In terms of other things though the films were let down a lot, and anyone who knows a thing or two about Casuals could tear the films to peices with regards to certain aspects of the films.

The others (Goal & Fever Pitch) I personally thought were spot on, especially Fever Pitch.

and finally did you enjoy watching them???
Enjoyed watching the all aye.

If your into Football though I think you have to watch them with an "empty" mind, becuase if not you end up critising the details they get wrong, and it would spoil the enjoyment of the film.

I suggest you U2U RyanSXi with the link to this thread, as he'll be annoyed if he misses out on telling us about his trips to Old Trafford.

It is all about Football and how it is portrayed in films and TV! Here are the questions.

1) Have you ever been to a live football match or watched it on T.V
Answer: YES or NO
YES

If yes describe the atmosphere??
Anfield is a wonderful venue when the crowd is up for it. European games the atmosphere is electric, charged and exciting the crowd buzzing and sending nerves tingling down your neck. It can sometimes be quiet, but mostly its a pretty awesome experience, in particular when the songs go out (better if you're in the kop) and the whole crowd is buzzing on it.

2) Do you support a football team, and which team?

Liverpool. The most successful team in English football history and 5 time European champions.

3) How would you describe Football culture? (Example: what words would you use?)

Tribalistic. Although the new breed of football fan who never go to the game, or can happily miss a match here or there are a bit tiresome.

4) Do you watch or have you ever seen any films or television series related to football??

Yep Escape to Victory FTW

If yes, what were they??

Oh err Escape to victory. Most films and tv shows about football are rubbish tbf.

4a) In these films/TV series do you think they link to what football culture is like today? Explain your reason

No. Because you cant generate that experience at will you have to actually FEEL it.
and finally did you enjoy watching them???

Na cept scape to victory at christmas

1) Have you ever been to a live football match or watched it on T.V
YES

If yes describe the atmosphere??
Differing, some have been quiet, some have been buzzing, depends on the game and the away fans tbh. Competitive...

2) Do you support a football team, and which team?
Yes, Liverpool

3) How would you describe Football culture?
Difficult, it's different at games compared to down the pub. I think people who go regularly and live and breath it can be too die hard, for example ones who don't like people from outside there city supporting the clubs. I can't comment on the culture in football as a whole but in liverpool it's very competitive and derby days are always very tense, it's always interesting to see how family and friends from the same city deal with losing and winning.

4) Do you watch or have you ever seen any films or television series related to football??
Yes

If yes, what were they??
The firm, ID, green street thugs, football factory etc.

4a) In these films/TV series do you think they link to what football culture is like today?
No, they are all old hat, the firms that used to exist are nothing like as bad as they make out now imo.

and finally did you enjoy watching them???

The older ones yes, the newer ones to a lesser extent.
