I want a switch in the car, to controll the radiator fan manually.

Its a 1999 S plate 1.6 Sport, am i right in thinking it will have the loom for front fogs, and i can cut the wires and connect them to the fan, put a front fog switch in, and a fuse in the fuse box, and this will make the fan come on when the switch is pressed? If not i will have to run a new little loom for the fan. Any help appriciated.
