Some of you will have seen the thread i made earlier in the week about my cousins (Graeme Wight Jr) hillclimb car...
Well, there's a new video to show you now.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/GWR-Predator-V10-at-the_188789.htm
This is his first win in this car. The Lap record is 36.00, and he ran a 36.26.
I've also got more accurate specification and stats:
Its an Arrows 3.0 V10 F1 engine and carbon g/box.
Its got about 700bhp at 15000 rpm, but no flywheel.
The car weighs around 420kg all in.
Gear speeds are, 85 in 1st, 108 in 2nd and 135 in 3rd. They're the only gears he uses for a run on that track. If you listen closely you can here the times the car goes onto the limmiter and that will give you a idea of what speeds he was doing.
Here are a few more pics too...

Its hill record not lap record... and the time was 36.25... .02 faster than Mr Groves.
All us Scottish hillclimb folk are well chuffed for GWJ getting his 1st run off victory in the Predator.

Silly question, but as a rough figure. How much did that car cost him to build?

Only if you decide to hit them.

I think he does do Harewood. And you're right, he's very entertaining to watch.

You have to be pernickety... hundredths of a second make all the difference in hilclimbing... just ask GWJ... or any hillclimber for that matter.
My pal did a 50.01 at Doune in his 205 last weekend (class win & PB time) but i know he really wanted to break into the 49's... its only 2 hundredths of a second but it'd of made all the difference.
...and its Paterson not Patterson.

Ye, still got the 106 and it should be ready for the 09 season.
It consists of a nice multipoint weld in caged shell, 285mm Wilwoods, proflex/Peugeot sport france suspension, 5sp s/c dog box & plate lsd and a 9k rpm engine... which hasn't been fired up yet.

The engine is similar to the one in my pals 205 but with more power. (hopefully)
