Credit cards these days will generally sting you for transfer fees and it needs to be to another card, so you would need to buy the new one on the car (which would probably attract a fee from the retailer) then transfer it. 3% is about the norm, so £60 on £2000.

An interest free card on purchases, if you buy it from a garage etc is the best option.
If you're buying private, a credit card is a waste of time really as you get stung on cash withdrawal fees, unless it allows balance transfers to current accounts like Virgin does.
Check out Nationwide Building Society loans, they're normally pretty good.

With HBoS if you take the loan, then pay it off within the first month, you'll not get any charges, or interest

Just go to your bank and explain what you want to do, if you have decent credit they'll probably offer you an overdraft for that amount.

2k loan over 1 year £203 a month with natwest, although you can probably pay off as much as you like when you like , rather than monthly with a flexi loan? is that right???

My bank do a flexi loan, I had a £1000 one, i had to pay minimum of £30 a month but I could pay any sum above that. As long as it was paid off over 12months it was all fine. It was with hsbc btw
