as toy/track cars?
Just been looking and..
they can be bought for 2-4k for a half decent one
and surley they would be much more fun than any normal road car on the track?

My dads building an Mk Indy at the minute (lotus 7 style). Hes been building it for nearly two years now because he doesnt get the time to work on it these days Its running a 2.0 zetec black top on weber throttle bodies
Cant wait for him to get it finished. Its all wired up and runs. Just the lighting and exterior panels are the main things to finish it off
But yes buying a ready build one can save a lot of time/money and you still get the same fun after as you would building one

Those arches are gash. Insurance is expensive isnt it? Its more fun beating people in a 106. For now anyway!

a lot of people don't have the storage space to keep them.
you can keep a clio 172 or a 106 out in the rain but you can't exactly do that with a caterham or westfield.

Because the cheap ones tend to be shit, cortina based, shed assembled heaps, with crappy old ford boat anchor engines with about 12 bhp.
The good ones, which people use as track cars, are more expensive.

my mates got a cossie powered dax rush, and they aint as cheap as you think ,

he uses it on track but only on dry track days/nights which are very hard to come by up at knockhill, as if its wet then its just pointless, same being used as a road car its only ever out in really good days so weather is a huge issue imo,
