got my first match tonight and i'm getting a little nervous. i've played pool for pub teams for the last 8 years but i'm not bothering now as i've started playing snooker. they've put me off 50 so i should at least win a few games. still shitting it though. i'll need at least 3 pints to settle the nerves i think!

I grew up playing snooker, my brother was professional. Not played since i moved upto scotland though.

Love snooker but very rarely play anymore and have never been much good, my highest break when i was playing regularly at 17/18/19 is around 45. Absolutely love watching it on the tv, good luck with your match carl

All i can say is good luck and you should be fine, just dont get too cocky, and screw it up. Just upload this on to your iPod/MP3 Player and put it on repeat.

i'm actually looking forward to it now as i've heard the team we are playing have never been in a league before. we'll all be garbage.
craig, yeah mate if i put this in match day i would get slated!
Tom, i can get by just about. i can knock 20+'s quite a lot so i should be fine. i think playing off 50 is a bit generous actually as i beat the 2nd team captain 3-0 off scratch and he's off 35. it'll be a laugh anyway!

I used to play a crap load, only Pool to a league level but always preferred snooker.
Best I knocked in was a (1)47  but that was pretty flooky, normally knocked in 32's etc - and was pretty good at clearing up the colours for 27 in practise
