They've been great with me, you usually end up speaking to the same people so it's better than a normal call centre type thing.

Plus with them being independent brokers, they will tailor a policy to your car. Am very impressed with how helpful they've been.

Nice to hear about a good insurer, not looking forward explaining to insurers what bodywork has been done on the car though.

Also interested in this, not quite as modded as Jenko's but my insurance is up next month, my renewal from current insurers is more than I pay now lol.

I hear brentacre are good and got good quotes last year but was lazy and my renewal was good for TPFT but wanna go fully comp now.

HIC are ok too, www.hertsinsurance.co.uk

Also heard of one called Chris Knott? I need phone them all up as all the typical online quotes are a bit pish and are coming back over 500 fully comp :@

With a modified policy like mine, they send out a form to fill in with the details of the car, and they ask for a colour photo of the car too.

They use the same format for kit cars and modified cars, so there's plenty of room to list the mods. They may ask for an engineer's report if it is massively modified.

I'm paying 1700 including named drivers, and breakdown cover including Europe. Which is OK I reckon, given it's a 300bhp+ group 20 car and I have a fault accident declared.
