what makes them so good?
what makes them so bad?
any problem areas?
if i had 1k to spend on performance i would buy...? and where would that take me?
all help would be much appreiated...i know this is not a pug forum, sorry if that affends anyone! Just like to ask people who know about them

106 GTis
Are nimble, chuckable and quick out the box 0-60mph. Personally I'd try and get a S reg or later so that it had the half leather. I'd lower it then just spend the rest of the money on bits for the engine. Don't expect really solid build quality due to its size and being peugeot, however it didn't bopther me as I bought one for having fun in.
Other cars for Sub £2200:
Mk3 Golf GTI 8v or 16V
Seat Ibiza Cupra GTI 16V
Saxo VTS
Corsa C20XE

Thanks for that mate...i've found a good one with leather and low mileage and that just gotta get the time and a lift to go see it...this build quality thing dont bother me either...i walk 2 work and only need a car for pure pleasure now just something to drive round for a laff...works just a mile away so wont cost alot to drive if i wanna use it as a dailt runner and its pre 2001 so lower tax!
I think the pug is the most diserable out of the others aswell...do like the others but think the gti or vts is a car that i have to have owned at some point lol
cheers again...OH WHAT SUSPENSIONS GOOD!? im think bilstein but wot can u get for them...had a b10 kit on the corsa, was magic! and torsion bar lowering scare me...wud only wanna go 30/40mm or so to stop that bodyroll
