I canny do this help
3 men go into a motel. the man behind the desk said the room is $30, so each man paid $10 and went to the room. a while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only $25, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with $5.
On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split $5 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man a $1 and kept the other $2 for himself.
This meant that the 3 men each paid $9 for the room, which is a total of $27, add the $2 that the bellboy kept = $29.
Where is the other dollar?

ignore the last bit. the three men paid 25each, bellboy went up stairs to give them 1$ each and he kept 2$ = $30

i worked it out they all paid $9 (which is the 10 minus the one they got back) which adds up to $27 leaving $2 dollars that the bellboy kept

27 + 2 = 29 though
you haven't answered the riddle.

There is no missing dollar. The men spent $27. Of which $25 went on the room and $2 went to the light fingered bell boy. You can not add the $2 the bellboy has to the $27 the men spent as this $2 actually comes out of the $27 the men spent, the other $25 going on the room.
Put another way consider how the $30 breaks down:
* $25 - room
* $3 (3x $1) back to the men
* $2 Bellboy

That's still not corect Lee.
It's the ending that is actually factually inaccurate. Up to that point, each man had paid $10 before the bellboy came and not the $9 it states and he then gave them $1 each back, keeping the last $2.
Basically:
3men paid $10 =$30
Room was only $25 so there was $5 change. Bellboy gave each of them a dollar back and kept 2 for himself = the original $30 the 3 men actually paid in the first place.
EDIT: James beat me to it

im having difficulty explaining it! think about it from start to finish, the bell boy gives them $1 each back whcih means they have only spent $9 whcih adds to $27, u dont add the bellboys 2 to this to make 29 because his 2 comes from the 27, you add the 3 he gave them all back to the 27 to make 30. the last sentance is adding the bellboys $2 twice, and not counting the $3 he gave back... gah fuck it i know how it works

Are you sure you know how it work?. lol
I'll put it another way:
Room is $25. The 3 men originally paid $30 hence the $5 change there is. He gives a dollar of the $5 change to each of the men. This now means that the men have still been charged $27 for a room which costs $25. The bellboy keeps the $2 that the men are still owed to avoid the confusion of splitting $2 between 3 people.

Looking back at lee_wee's second explanation, it is actually correct. The first time I read it it did not make sense to me.
Fair enough if you think his explanation was clearer than mine. I think mine explained it better.
