I'd of thought it would be the other way round as there are more people in the Midlands and surrounding parts of England.

When I was looking t 1.3 CDTi Corsa's, they were considerably cheaper and more common up North, let alone Scotland.
Probably pay you to take it on the Highlands.

I've found that you will get 'normal' cars cheaper. When I was looking for my car the prices in England were a lot cheaper due to there simply being more of them down there.

If you're talking about my point, it was just a generalisation.
Plus a 93/5 aero isn't exactly 'normal' is it?

I live in scotland and I dont think its cheaper, would've thought other way round like someone else said more down in england so more likely cheaper there. Depends what you're looking for and where you are looking I suppose

IMO it's mostly higher spec cars that are dearer - a mate was recently looking for an S3. You could get one something like 2 years 'younger' with about half the mileage for the same price as the ones up here in England.

I was always under the impression cars were cheaper up here than down south. Mate's dad has a garage in Dunfermline and they quite often get people travelin up from down south to buy cars from them, as they say there slightly cheaper. They also have a couple of Areo's for sale - www.orwellmotors.co.uk

I think generally with prestige/performance cars you get a better deal of your prepared to travel down south from scotland.

I've always thought the same about Cornwall.
I certainly think distance is a factor, I've been watching Discoverys on Ebay and there have been a few ones far away from me going for good prices.
Wouldn't have said it's a trend though, just occasionally stuff has less interest if it's at the edge of the country.
