Is there a national register or a way to see if someone has been disqualified from driving?

It'll be on their driving licence though, and I'm sure on their police record?

I need to find out sneakily
Driver at work has got the job I wanted in the office before the closing date for applications.
When he has covered it before all he does is f & blind about doing the job. Along with the drop in money and having to do 9 hours a day as opposed to 4/5 hours driving, I couldn't figure out why he would want to do it.
Then it has emerged he has been done for drink driving and would therefore be in breach of his drivers contract and just seems really fishy the way he has got the job

It'll be on his driving licence mate, unless you have any good friends in the police force.

I'm not sure if it's been to court yet, if it hasn't is he still able to drive?

What? If he has a pending drink driving ban, they will take his license off of him straight away, and he'll be without until after his court appearance/ban.

Not if he ordered a duplicate before he got points/banned.

Surely you couldn't get away with that?

You can get replacements made up, so why not?
I doubt the company he works for will ring the DVLA or anything. They'll go on face value of the license like most places.

may have misread this but n he is still legal to drive until his court appearance, however if he drives to cournt and gets the ban he cannot drive home they take your licence from you in court.
