not harsh, i owned one. It had attributes but was just a vauxhall hatchback with a funky engine.

Theres a reason the m3 cost double the astra when new. If there was an advantage with the astra it would be the age

Gutted, ive just done a 100 mile trip and come home with the astra Originaly we both agreed that it was going to be a straight swap and no cash involved, it turns out 2 big built londoners where just out for a piss take, the M3 was absolutely stunning, and the guy thought hed push his luck and ask for an Extra £1,000 Twat

its a tough one, in some senses id rather have the rawness and that of the M3 but in other cases i would want the reassurance etc of the new astra...

im looking for about £3,500 for mine, imo i dont think thats too much.

that bmw is on pistonheads for £3,400 and it actually sold on ebay for £2,500

Similar thing happend to me when I bought my Corsa, I saw it for sale for £1500 and I made him the offer, tried to tel me someone was offering him 1800 and would I match it, I walkedaway

Later that day I was getting phone calls saying he would take 1500

Offered him £1350 for due to wasting my time and he took it
