My engine problem...

Noticed I broke the car at PVS this year when I was driving home fast and engine water temps were high. As soon as I slowed back down to 60-70 the engine temps went back down to normal ~92c. When speeding back up to over 90 right up to 140 the car would climb in temperature and keep on climbing. Strange.

Since this problem started I have changed/had changed: HG, Cam Belt, Recent Water Pump, Hoses, Checked for Leaks, Thermostat Housing and gasket, Thermostat, CTS, Temperature sender, Inlet manifold cooling hoses, Inlet manifold gasket.

Have a fresh set of plugs to go in. Had a look at them the other day and they are a bit sooty and black. That's nothing particularly wrong right? No EML.

After all of this took it to Trax this weekend and had similar problems. Temps got high at top speed. Is frustrating, and everyone I speak to has not experienced anything like it before. Any guesses? Engine was good as gold before I upset it at PV

The engine temps are strange, it's not about guessing if the head is cracked etc. The car will be at 100c on the motorway, If I take the load off the engine and wait for literally 10 seconds then go again the temps will go down to 92-95c. Then start climbing again slowly.

The engine isn't losing or burning any water.

Cool running thermostats and water wetter won't do the engine any favours. I want it to be working correctly on the standard parts and normal coolant. As it has been doing for the last 140k miles or 18 months in the car.

I have a very good idea what it may be, have seen it before. was to do with a water pipe in the coolant system being in the wrong place, the pipe from the coolant bottle was attached to the union on the side of the cylinder head, canbt remember the exact or correct way it should be connected off the top of my head at the moment..... go check which way round they are and I will check it for you.

Side of the cylinder head goes to the right hand heater matrix host on the bulkhead (standing from the front of the car)

My big coolant bottle hose goes from the bottom of coolant bottle to the right hand one on the hard plastic hose round back of engine.
