There's about 99% chance that one is an expensive resistor and worth about 70p.

DTUK is the only tuning box I'd be using.

I have tried and tested loads of tuning boxes.

Not one has been able to lower the baseline fuelling from the original settings, so the claims of them using less fuel are a bit missleading.

most are just glorified resistor systems, either analogue or digital. Their one major flaw is the fact they only ADD more fuel, not adjust boost. A full remap can mean adjusting as many as 17 different maps as well as boost and fuelling.

Also, most tuning boxes are all pretty much identical inside, lots claim to be manufactured in Germany to TUV standards and CE marked bla bla bla... but the PCB's say MADE IN CHINA on them. I have managed to get the exact same results as a £350 tuning box on a common rail diesel ford engine with £3.20 worth of bits from Maplins.

If You saw their setup you would quickly change your mind. Its run from the back room of a filthy butchers shop in one of the most deprived areas of the country

Come on to grips.

Surely 38bhp and 70n/m of torque for £44's all you need to hear?

Because the power increase is by much more than 25% the T-Box is not allowed in the street traffic, but has to be entered by the technical control for every particular case

Sounds like it's a bit dangerous as well

all a tuning box does is increase fuel pressure or injector duration (how long the injector is open) and doesnt increase turbo boost. more fuel with no increse in pressure = higher hydrocarbons and particles. A DPF filters these particles but often cant cope with the massive increase of unbunt fuel particles that a tuning box gives, so it clogs up and often the automatic regeneration feature that most DPF units have wont be enough to clear it so the car goes into mimp home mode (especially on pug 406's)

Makes me sad to think that people get away with selling shite like that to unwilling people. They just see the ad and think 'Great! I've got a diesel', plug that pish in then their car fecks up 6 month later with no obvious explanation.

E-bay needs to do something about it pronto, it's getting out of hand.

Not sure on that one TBH.

As said earlier, £44 for 38BHP should be enough to put any sensible person off.
