Well was up earlyish this morn to go down to New Brighton (on the Wirral for those who aren't from around here) and watch the annual event that is the Wallasey Motor Club Promenade Special Stages.
Involves a wide variety of cars hammering it around the promenade on various stages though the day. It's always a good day, even though the weather was toss first thing. Dried out later on though, and everyone sped up.
The most common car of the day is the mk2 escort, but most of these have had the XE conversion and are a really good watch. Talbot Sunbeams, Sierras and Scoobies are also a common sight. And the top end cars are the Darrian D90 and the Metro 6R4's...
I managed to get a few photos myself, and some are from scrutineering on the friday...but if anyone wants to add any of their own that they've got of the day...feel free!! 
BAT Motorsport's new Corsa C, never looked as good as the old B did...
Nova sport 1400, looked quick all day tbh. The GEG corsa above was an x16xe with throttle bodies and again, was pretty quick despite picking up more damage every time it came around! 
The blue Sunbeam just in front of the Nova was running an XE with twin 45's. Sounded really nice!!
Also saw this manta i200...gorgeous example and totally mint!...
Thats all i've got folks. i know Adam-D has some so i'm hoping he'll put them up, but if anyone has any...fill the thread up!!

I went for a few hours this afternoon, the mk2's aren't the most dominant the darion and 6r4's are 
Some interesting cars there, the tr8, the 2 door cossie with the v8 in, the lotus europa, rwd new shape micra etc. It's good but I can only watch it for a few hours before getting bored, and the weather was rubbish

nooo...i meant that theres the most of them. The Darians and the 6R4's are the most powerful. I meant dominant as in...there's loads of them!
Yea, there was a better variety this year tho!

Oh I see, they do love putting tb'd redtop's in the mk2's 
6r4 noise is the best, I could sit there and listen to them all day
