Firstly, yes I know it'll rain and be shitey by the time I get there, but it's partly done for Trax and partly as a pre sale preparation!

Spent the last couple of days after finishing valeting jobs working on my car - dodging the rain etc to do some basic paint correction and a good wax top up on my car.

Example of the paint correction:

Before:

After (Opel blitz removed to be replaced with std. griffin, scratches to be touched up etc):

Car was then run over a couple of times to get rid of a few niggling swirl marks, before a lot of stonechips and slightly deeper scratches were touched up.

Would have had the wheels off to clean up properly and to re-paitn calipers, but as some of you may have read (http://corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=451184) I've had a few issues

Car then topped off with 2 coats of Dodo Dark Velvet which left some nice beading lol:

And the finished car:

And decided to attach the Irmy badge:

Apologies for poor pics - bad lighting and weather mixed with C902 camera phone = above results

Thanks for looking - see you all on the CS / WR stand tomorrow!

The boot was as I never got round to correcting it before and for some reason had a load of scratches around the badge anyway. Other than that though it's pretty fooking immaculate!

I've been applying coats of wax in amongst the rain today which made it interesting

Cheers mate. I've been meaning to sort the paint out for a while but didn't have the time. Have been quieter this week and knew Trax was looming, plus car is For Sale as of 2m anyway so thought I may as well start on it

Don't have any I'm afraid! No the neatest job in the world as was rushed for time and also tbf, most of those are now covered by the new badge!

Alan - Correction was done with2 different compounds depending on severity of marks. 3M ultrafina for the lesser marks, Megs 83 on the boot for example. All of that was then topped off with Dodo Lime Prime followed by Poorboys Black Hole, then the 2 coats of Dodo Dark Velvet

My car will look dreadful. When you get up close, some of the paint is actually a matt red/pink colour but I can't do anything 'cause of the rain

Will do this time. However with student financial days and the winter looming, I won't be able to afford, nor will there be any point (due to difficulty in upkeep) in me having it done. The whole car needs doing tbh, except for the rear & front. You should see the colour difference between the door and door shuts
